Candidate YouTube: Monique DeSpain for Congress

Independent Monique DeSpain served our nation for thirty years in the US Air Force, Air Force Reserve, and the Oregon Air National Guard, retiring with the rank of Colonel. Monique has always put service above self and stood up to protect victims. As a JAG officer in our military and a civilian lawyer, Monique fought to deliver justice for victims of sex and race discrimination.

Following her military career, Monique joined a local Oregon law firm fighting for the rights of crime victims as well as a non-profit organization where she has worked on policies to address homelessness, addiction, and crime in Oregon communities. She also courageously sued a company who committed sexual and racial discrimination.

Now Monique is running for Congress to take on self-serving politicians and bring back transparency and accountability for Oregonians. As a single mother who raised her twin boys in Eugene, Monique DeSpain knows firsthand how hard it has become for middle class families to make ends meet. In Congress, DeSpain will fight to lower costs for families, reduce crime, tackle the homeless crisis, and bring back a prosperous economy.
